This dataset defines culture centers as; aquariums & zoological facilities, arboreta & botanical gardens, dinner theaters, drive-ins, historical places & services, libraries, motion picture theaters, museums and art galleries, performing arts centers, performing arts theaters, planetariums, studios and art galleries, and theater producers stage facilities. This layer is a combination of cultural centers and related cultural association addresses from online sources including; Art-Collecting.com, Association of Zoos and Aquariums, Florahome USA, Florida Artists Registry.com, Florida Association of Museums, Florida Department of Emergency Management - HSIP, Florida Department of State - Division of Library and Information Services, USA Zoos, and Yellowbook.com. This dataset contains fields denoting the physical address, and contact information for culture and related cultural association facilities located in Florida. This data is meant to be used for planning purposes only and is not intended to represent a 100% inventory of cultural facilities. Culture Center locations that have been verified are marked with the letter V in the FLAG field. |
